Volunteers Plant 50 Trees at Tōmoana Showgrounds

Tōmoana Showgrounds is looking a little greener this month, thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers who turned out for our recent community tree planting day.

Twenty volunteers came together to plant 50 trees across the grounds, contributing to the ongoing greening of the site and its long-term development as a community and events destination for Hawke's Bay.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Moko Boys, Hastings Youth Council, and our wider Kaitiaki team, whose time and effort made the day such a success. Their contribution reflects a genuine commitment to caring for this space and ensuring it continues to serve the community for generations to come.

The new plantings will be visible to visitors across the grounds, with the trees expected to show strong growth heading into spring.
