Tōmoana Showgrounds sits on 40 hectares in the heart of Hastings — purpose-built over generations to serve as Hawke's Bay's most versatile event infrastructure. We operate 365 days a year, hosting 80+ events that collectively attract more than 500,000 visitors.
Our vision is to grow Tōmoana into one of New Zealand's leading regional event venues — commercially strong, community connected, and environmentally responsible. We are investing in facilities, infrastructure, and partnerships that position the Showgrounds as a destination of national significance.
We are managed by the Tōmoana Showgrounds Charitable Trust in partnership with Hastings District Council — a governance model that ensures long-term accountability to the people of our region, not to shareholders.

The Tōmoana Showgrounds Charitable Trust was established to ensure these grounds remain a community asset in perpetuity. Governed by a board of local trustees appointed to represent the region's interests, the Trust operates with full transparency and reinvests surplus into facility improvements and community programmes.
